An Isle of Wight museum is on the search for funds so that it can buy a rare collection of prints.
The 12 prints from the ‘Select Views of the Isle of Wight and Environs’ collection show scenes from the island – they were published by James Daniell and Son between 1800 and 1815. The pictures were said to represent an important stage in the development of landscape art.
