The Isle of Wight Steam Railway (IOWSR) is seeing a raft of improvements taking place, including the refurbishment of Havenstreet Station in Wooton.
According to rail.co.uk, works including the construction of new station buildings with toilets and a waiting room were completed recently, while a workshop across the road is due to be finished by the end of 2013.
The railway news provider stated: “The station is now a realistic example of an Edwardian Country terminus station and has become a destination in its own right. It has a car park and picnic area and located [is] located just a couple of miles from the Fishbourne car ferry terminal.”
